We want you to be happy and healthy in your running and to achieve your goals, whatever they may be. To do this, we take four factors into account:

  1. Talent - your inherent ability. Sadly, we can’t do anything to change this. As much as we’d all like to be Olympic champions, our genetics have almost certainly determined otherwise. However, through a structured and scientific approach to training and racing, we can optimise your ability helping you be the best that you can.

  2. Hard work. Anything worth doing requires effort and dedication. But we regularly find that people are too enthusiastic, end up overtraining and ultimately get injured; a runner’s worst nightmare! Our structured, incremental plans are designed to minimise injury risk and make the biggest improvements for the least amount of stress to the body.

  3. The mental game. Having your head in the right place is crucial whether you are racing, training or just finding the motivation to get out of the door for your run. We help hold you accountable, work with you on strategies for when things get hard and provide the support and guidance during the more challenging periods.

  4. Personal circumstances. We all have different constraints on our time, be that work, family or other commitments. For that reason, every training plan is designed with you to accommodate your individual needs. If your circumstances change, we will flex the plan to meet this. Two way communication on an ongoing basis underpins everything we do.
